18:00-20:30 Presidential Welcome Reception and Wine Degustation with Appetizers

20:30-22:30 Council, Past Presidents, Speakers, and Congress Committee Dinner

Venue: Royal Industrieele Groote Club, one of the oldest and most illustrious societies in the Netherlands.

The historical, monumental building with classic halls is located right in the center of Amsterdam at Dam

Square and offers a splendid view of Dam Square and the Royal Palace.

18:30 Canal Cruise with Appetizers and Drinks. The boats with the congress dinner as final destination will leave near the congress venue.

Venue: West India House, the former headquarters of the Dutch West India Company (WIC). In this historic building the WIC decided to set up a colony at the island Manhattan and named it Nieuw Amsterdam (New Amsterdam), later New York. Pieter Stuyvesant was the first WIC commander of New Amsterdam .

17:30-21:00 Appetizers, Drinks, and Gastronomic Beer Buffet

Venue: Heineken Experience, the congress venue. This former Heineken Brewery, a historic building listed on the European Route of Industrial Heritage, is also one of Amsterdam's most popular tourist attractions. The brewery has a spacious balcony that offers a breathtaking view over the heart of Amsterdam. During the buffet several small dishes will be served in 'walking dinner style'. In addition different types of beer can be tasted. Of course also other drinks will be available, including wine and non-alcoholic beverages. The buffet will take place immediately following the scientific programme.

During the congress you also may want to take the Heineken Experience brewery tour. In this tour the history of Heineken is presented with several amusement park attractions added to the exhibit. The access to the tour is on the ground floor of the brewery.

10:15-14:00 Guided Tour Highlights from the Golden Age with Lunch by top chef Joris Bijdendijk at Rijks®

Venue: Rijksmuseum. This famous museum belongs to the most important museums in the world. The museum has an exceptional collection of many masterpiece paintings of Dutch and world art, e.g. Rembrandt's 'Night watch' and several paintings by Vermeer, van Dyck, and Jan Steen. After the tour a nice lunch will be served next to the Rijksmuseum in the well-known restaurant Rijk@, created by top chef Joris Bijdendijk.

10:00-13:30 Guided Tour Wallen, Our Lord in the Attic Museum, Liqueur Degustation, and

Private Lunch by top chef Jonnie Boer

Venue: The tour starts at the NH Collection Amsterdam Barbizon Palace, located opposite Amsterdam Central Station and leads through the oldest part of Amsterdam: the Wallen. This area oozes atmosphere with its narrow streets, picturesque canals and bridges, old canal houses, and the famous red window lights. During the tour coffee and tea will be served in a real old tasting room visited by the local people. The Museum Our Lord in the Attic will be visited. This surprising museum is a canal house with a secret church in the attic. It was built in 17th-century, when Catholic masses were forbidden. Liqueurs will be tasted in an authentic 17th century environment, a private location. Opposite the Old Church, the oldest building in Amsterdam, in a building designed by the famous city architect Hendrick de Keyser, a beautiful private lunch will be served created by top chef Jonnie Boer.
